Tony Macie
Chief Operating Officer | MINDAI™ Institute
Tony Macie is the Chief Operating Officer at MINDAI™ Institute, where he helps design and deliver transformational breathwork retreats rooted in healing, structure, and purpose. A former U.S. Army sergeant who served in Iraq, Tony’s path shifted from conflict to compassion, leading him to spend the past decade across Southeast Asia working on health, education, and sustainable development initiatives.
In 2014, he founded a nonprofit focused on medical outreach and long-term community solutions. His dedication earned him the 2018 Kathryn Davis Fellowship for Peace, recognizing his commitment to rebuilding systems through service. Returning to the U.S., he earned his master’s degree from Harvard Kennedy School and was later selected as a Rajawali Fellow, where he researched Asia’s political economy.
Tony’s work and story have been featured in major global and U.S. outlets, where he has given interviews and commentary on psychedelics, integration, and global development—including The New York Times, Business Insider, Financial Times, BBC, Huffington Post, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, Vice, The Boston Globe, and Stars and Stripes. He has contributed columns to the South China Morning Post, focusing on Asia’s political economy, and testified before the Canadian Senate on psychedelic-assisted therapy and veteran health. He has also been interviewed and featured in international documentaries and news broadcasts across multiple global networks.
After years of work throughout Southeast Asia, Tony is now based in Bangkok, where he brings together his experience in operations, global development, and mental intelligence—cultivating clarity of thought, adaptability in change, and leadership with compassion. He develops programs and systems that build resilience, awaken inner intelligence, and drive lasting change for individuals, groups, and nations.
